F16 (White Single Hybrid)

F16 is a versatile white single-seeded maize hybrid (cereal and silage), characterized by its upright leaves which make it ideal for intensive farming. It is also a very tall hybrid that produces large quantities of silage, and is characterized by 60% of plants bearing two identical cobs.

Description

  • Multi-purpose crop (cereals – silage – green fodder).

  • A very tall hybrid with a strong vegetative mass, the plant reaches a height of 3.5 meters.

  • Erect leaves, making it suitable for high-density planting.

  • A strong root system equipped with more than one row of brace roots.

  • A growth period of 110 days until harvest.

  • The plant remains green until harvest, which enhances silage quality.

  • High-yielding under optimal cultivation conditions:

    • 5.8 tons of grains per acre (≈ 14 tons per hectare).

    • 35.5 tons of silage/acre (≈ 85 tons/hectare).

  • The cob is very distinctive with a wide grain and a yield exceeding 85%.

  • About 60% of plants carry two identical coenzymes.

  • It is resistant to lodging and to many diseases such as blight, wilt and late wilt.

  • It is good in all seasons (summer season, Nile season, and late season).
